2. The stick horse race will be open to kids seven years of age and younger.  Cow punchers will maneuver their ponies through the cloverleaf barrel pattern as fast as their little legs will carry them.  They can show off their best dressed ponies at the contest too. Prizes will be given for the fastest three times in each division and the top three best costumes. However, costumes are not required. All racers will receive a goodie bag. There are no entry fees, but you must register by September 2 to enter the contest.

17. Rules:

    1. MUST pre-enter.
    2. There is no cost.
    3. Hats and boots are not required.
    4. Rider must ride a stick horse.
    5. Rider must start at starting line.
    6. Rider must cross finish line with horse.
    7. Rider may have assistance.
    8. Rider must compete to receive a prize.  Prizes will be awarded to all riders.
    9. Riders must perform a cloverleaf pattern around the barrels just like regular barrel racing to have a qualified time.
    10. Girls and boys will compete against each other.
    11. Age Divisions are 2 - 4 years old and 5 - 7 years old.
    12. All judging decisions are final.  Awards will be presented at the end of the contest.

    I, the Parent of _________________________________________  have read and agree to abide by the rules and the terms set forth in this entry form.  I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Benbrook Heritage Fest and its volunteers and the City of Benbrook and its staff for any damage, loss, theft, or injury resulting from my child’s participation in this event.  I agree to allow the City of Benbrook the use of images, photos, videos, and other promotional materials taken during the event for purposes of promoting the event in this and future years.  I understand that Benbrook Heritage Fest Management reserves the right to excuse us from the contest if we are not conducting ourselves in a respectful manner or do not follow the rules set forth and will not be allowed to compete next year.
