[ARCHIVED] Benbrook Police Department Crime Alert: Fraudulent Home Health Care Worker

In recent weeks, two (2) Benbrook residents have reported that a white female wearing nurse’s scrubs appeared at their front door claiming to have been sent by a home health care business. Once inside the residence, the female said she needed to check their medications. After doing so, she quickly left. One of the residents thought that some of her pills may have been taken.

Granbury police are investigating a series of thefts of medications by a woman using the same ruse to gain entry to homes of senior citizens. Benbrook residents should be alert to a white female in her early fifties with blonde or dirty blonde hair, possibly wearing glasses and driving a red Dodge Avenger.

Should someone fitting that description knock on your door unexpectedly, claiming to be with a home health care business, do not let her inside your home. Call the police at 817-249-1610 and stay on the line with the dispatcher.
