Texas Governor Rick Perry’s office has issued a proclamation claiming May 2013 as Building Safety Month. The designation is intended to raise awareness about the need for safe and resilient structures, and to highlight and promote the professional code standards by which builders and inspectors ensure sound and safe structures are constructed in Texas.
