Holiday Happenings 2015!
The Benbrook Firefighters Association is hosting Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 6:00 – 9:00pm at the Benbrook Community Center/YMCA (BCC/YMCA), 1899 Winscott Road. For a donation of four (4) food items, or $5.00, your family can take home a keepsake photo. Free refreshments will be provided and games and craft activities will be hosted by the BCC/YMCA.
On Saturday, December 5, don’t miss the 24th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Fireworks Show. The event starts at 7:00pm at the Benbrook Community Center/YMCA. Donations of money or non-perishable food items will be accepted at the park entrance. All proceeds benefit the annual Benbrook Firefighter Food Drive.
Immediately following the Christmas Tree Lighting and Fireworks Show, the annual Benbrook Winter Wonderland display lights up Dutch Branch Park with twinkling lighted holiday characters and merriment. Stroll the park and enjoy this free holiday exhibit each evening through New Year’s Day. Local non-profit organizations will occasionally be available to provide holiday treats. For information on Winter Wonderland, contact Patty Bissey at 817-249-6087.
The Benbrook Fire Department works tirelessly during the holiday season to brighten the lives of Benbrook families by meeting community needs. The Benbrook Firefighter Food Drive is accepting non-perishable food items and monetary donations at the Benbrook Fire Station, 528 Mercedes Street, until December 18, 2014. All donations directly go to the Spirit of Christmas program and the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
