Benbrook Lake levels have been steadily increasing since the Thanksgiving rains. Therefore, Baja Beach and Lake Shore Drive are still closed, along with some of the park pavilions.

In anticipation of the rains forecasted for this weekend, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers started releasing water at a rate of 1100 cfs, and today they are releasing water at a rate of 1800 cfs. The water levels are going down and the lake should have sufficient capacity to handle the projected rains this weekend.
