The Texas Department of Transportation reports that Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377 traffic will be shifted beginning next week to accommodate Phases 2 and 3 of the construction project. Traffic patterns will shift southbound traffic west onto detour pavement and shift northbound traffic to existing southbound lanes. This allows the contractor to begin construction of future northbound lanes.

Anticipated lane closures include:

1. Southbound right lane from Westpark Drive to Winscott Road, daily (Monday - Friday) from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

2. Southbound left lane from Mercedes Street to Sproles Drive on Monday.

Various lanes will be closed in a moving operation for traffic striping to accommodate the traffic switch throughout the project area (Interstate 20 to Winscott Road).

Davidson Street will remain closed at Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377 for crosswalk and pavement repair and will be opened after the new concrete has adequate strength and cure time. Motorists can use Cozby West or Cozby North as alternate routes.
