The Texas Department of Transportation reports that the Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377 traffic switch to accommodate Phases 2 and 3 of the construction project is now scheduled to occur next week (2/22-2/26), weather permitting. Traffic patterns will shift southbound traffic west onto detour pavement and shift northbound traffic to existing southbound lanes. This allows the contractor to begin construction of future northbound lanes.

Anticipated lane/street closures include:

• Southbound right lane from Westpark Drive to Winscott Road on Friday (2/19) and next Monday (2/22) from 9:00am to 4:00pm both days.

• Various lanes will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday in a moving operation for traffic striping to accommodate the traffic switch throughout the project area (Interstate 20 to Winscott Road).

• Impacts at Winscott Road bringing traffic to one lane in each direction at Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377 will begin after the traffic switch, as early as next Friday (2/26).

• Davidson Street will remain closed at Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377 for crosswalk and pavement repair. Motorists can use Cozby West or Cozby North as alternate routes.
