The Benbrook Police Department is hosting a Citizen Police Academy (CPA), beginning Wednesday, October 12, 2016. The CPA meets every Wednesday night from 6:00pm-9:00pm for 13 weeks. There will be presentations on a variety of topics, to include: S.W.A.T., bicycle patrol, traffic enforcement, storm spotting, the police hiring and training process, and other law enforcement related topics.

There is no cost to attend. Upon graduation, attendees are eligible to join the Benbrook Citizens on Patrol, if interested. Benbrook residents can pick up an application in the Police Department lobby, 1080 Mercedes Street. Return completed applications to the dispatcher.
