The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reports the following update on the Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377 construction project:

Concrete paving and drainage structures have been completed on Lakeway Drive and Vista Way. The contractor is currently working on subgrade and drainage improvements on Lochness Drive. Asphalt paving and concrete paving will take place in this area later this month.

The contractor has been building the colored-stamped concrete crosswalks and has completed most of them this month.

The contractor is also working towards switching traffic in the southbound section of the project between Sproles Drive and Lakeway Drive as early as Monday, April 24. Portable electronic signs will be placed along Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377 to alert motorists of this traffic switch. The traffic switch will allow the contractor to begin work on the raised median and third travel lane in each direction.

Traffic in the northern section of Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377 will likely not be switched until early June.

Estimated completion of the project is summer 2017.
