On July 16, 2017, Benbrook officers were dispatched to an armed robbery at the Everest Food Mart at 8000 Chapin Road in Benbrook. The suspect fled the scene, and it is believed he committed a similar crime in Grandview, Texas that same day.  Both Benbrook and Grandview police departments put out a call to seek the public's help in identifying the suspect. 

The suspect in now in custody in New Mexico after a shootout with officers there.
