The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) reports that their contractor is scheduled to perform concrete paving over the next 3 weeks (weather permitting) on Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377 at the Winscott Road intersection. There are then a few additional items (colored crosswalk, pavement striping, and traffic signal adjustment) to complete before the intersection can be opened to southbound 2 through-lanes, with a left turn lane to Winscott.

The contractor is working to achieve substantial completion of the Benbrook Boulevard expansion project to 3 travel lanes in each direction and raised median this year.

The City of Benbrook and the Benbrook Economic Development Corporation stand ready to implement new landscape and signage plans once TxDOT has accepted the completed product.
