Transit
for Benbrook Elderly and Disabled Expands “Guaranteed” Ride Days
Beginning the week of October 1, 2018,
Benbrook is assigned three guaranteed days: Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
The City of Benbrook
contracts with the Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The "T"), and
in partnership with Catholic Charities Fort Worth, to provide transit service
to Benbrook residents who are elderly (age 65 or older) and/or are disabled.
Benbrook residents can
schedule rides to take place Monday through Friday, but rides are not
guaranteed for Benbrook riders on all those days. Sometimes, routes and times
do not allow for service to Benbrook on days other than the “guaranteed” ride days
of Tuesdays and Thursdays. Riders are always encouraged to schedule important
trips such as medical appointments on guaranteed days.
However, the “T” recently
received a grant that allows an additional “guaranteed” day for Benbrook
riders. Beginning the week of October 1,
2018, Benbrook is assigned three guaranteed days: Tuesday, Thursday, and
Friday.
