For eleven consecutive years, theannual Benbrook Heritage Fest “Cowboy Roundup” is the highlight of the fallseason in Benbrook. On Saturday, October 20, 2018, the event returns to DutchBranch Park, offering a lineup of fun-filled activities, displays, and danceand music performances.
Fans of the family-friendly event willenjoy a day of performances on the main stage; featuring Fort Worth Scottish Pipes& Drums, Sallie’s School of Dance, Dixie Cloggers, and Ballet Folklorico de Fort Worth.
Heritage Fest celebrates diversity, culture, and community; this event has something for everyone! Activities include bounce houses, a petting zoo, miniature train rides, face-painting, balloon art, and a human foosball game! Walk the grounds to explore a variety of arts and crafts vendors, an authentic chuck wagon, and festive games. Some activities are hosted by local non-profit organizations that may charge a nominal fee to participate. Proceeds benefit the non-profit. Sunset Mountain Miniatures returnsthis year to showcase amazing performance horses. For those wanting to step back in time, the ‘Heroesof the Old West’ will reenact western gunfights and be on hand to share storiesof life in the American West during the 19th century. Native Pride welcomes visitors toenjoy stories of Native American culture, heritage, and lifestyles. Also, explorethe Mexican Village and listen to Mariachi New Eraperform. And the food!
