As part of the final beautification stages to complete the Benbrook Boulevard/U.S. 377 expansion project, contracted crews will be installing irrigation systems and landscaping, likely beginning on August 23 or 24.

Motorists should expect temporary lane closures on 377 from I-20 extending south to the Winscott Road intersection as workers excavate medians, lay fabric, complete irrigation and begin planting along the boulevard. Landscape plans call for drought-tolerant native shrub plantings, decomposed granite and flowering trees.
