[ARCHIVED] Benbrook E-Waste Collection and Shred Event is Oct. 12

Shred and Ewaste Graphic

Bring your electronic waste and old documents to the FREE E-waste/Shred event on Saturday, October 12, 8 to 11 a.m. at Dutch Branch Park. Crews will be in the back parking lot behind Par 3 golf course and behind the Benbrook Community Center/YMCA, 1899 Winscott Road. Follow signs along Winscott Road to enter Beach Road toward the back parking lot.

For electronic waste, generally speaking, if it can be plugged in, it can be recycled. But please note: CRT devices (older televisions and other electronics with glass tubing) are not accepted at this event.

Paper documents of any type will be accepted for shredding, but please do not bring more than a typical household amount -- large quantities of business documents will not be accepted. Please check that paper is dry and that no other items are in boxes containing documents, as foreign objects can clog the shredder.

Proof of Benbrook residency is required. Contact: Amanda Valdez, avaldez@benbrook-tx.gov or 817-249-6008.
