Public Open House - Tuesday, November 12, 2019
The City of Benbrook is seeking public input on updates to the City’s Comprehensive Plan. As an official adopted public policy document, the Comprehensive Plan guides municipal decisions about the physical development, programs, and priorities of our community.
The City is hosting a public Open House on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, from 3 – 8 p.m., at the Benbrook Senior Citizens Center, 1010 Mercedes Drive, Benbrook.
Citizens are asked to weigh in on the overall vision and guiding principles that will lead Benbrook’s future growth; to help identify land use priorities; and to submit comments to be included as part of the process for seeking approval of the final policy document.
The Open House provides a casual come-and-go venue, offering various stations depicting land use plans to include Benbrook’s Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ), trails systems, vacant land inside the city, and a downtown plan.
There will be no formal presentation, though staff will be on hand to answer questions. Attendees will be asked to complete a brief questionnaire, and are encouraged to submit additional comments if they wish.
For citizens unable to attend the Open House, the entire presentation will be uploaded online afterward, and there will be a 30-day public comment period.
No RSVP required. Refreshments will be served.
This facility is wheelchair accessible. If you require special accommodations, please contact Caroline Stewart, Assistant City Planner, at 817-249-6060, at least 48 hours in advance of the event.
