WHERE: Hulen Street exit from eastbound State Highway 183/Southwest Blvd.
WHEN: Monday, July 8th, 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. (weather permitting)
WHAT: As part of the Chisholm Trail Parkway construction, crews will be closing the Hulen Street exit ramp from eastbound SH 183/Southwest Boulevard the night of Monday, July 8th from 3 a.m. to 5 a.m. (weather permitting). SH 183 eastbound traffic wanting to access Hulen Street will have two detour options:
• Option #1: exit to Crossland and proceed on eastbound frontage road to Bryant Irvin Road. Turn right on Bryant Irvin Road and continue to the IH-20 eastbound frontage road. Turn left onto the IH-20 eastbound frontage road and proceed to Hulen Street.
• Option #2: continue on eastbound SH 183 past Hulen Street exit. Take the Granbury Road exit and follow the frontage road to the u-turn lane. Make a u-turn and proceed along the westbound frontage road to Hulen Street.
The $117 million access improvement project at I-20/SH 183 is in preparation for the future SH 121/Chisholm Trail Parkway. The project will construct several new bridges, access ramps and new SH 121/Chisholm Trail Parkway frontage roads as well as lowering and rebuilding the SH 183 main lanes. Completion is scheduled for Summer 2013.
