If you’ve ever wanted to get an up-close look at a police vehicle or fire truck, here’s your chance: The City of Benbrook’s annual Touch-A-Truck event will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 23, at Dutch Branch Park, 1899 Winscott Road.
The event will feature many of the vehicles that our public safety teams use to help keep our community safe, including a patrol car, ladder truck, fire engine, Cam Am Motorcycle, ambulance, tractor, and more. In addition, police officers, firefighters, and emergency medical response teams will be there to show the vehicles and answer your questions.
Bring your curiosity, but bring your appetite, too: In-N-Out Burger will be on-site serving hamburgers for 400 guests. The meals are free, but donations are encouraged. Proceeds will benefit Relay for Life Benbrook in support of cancer research and services.
Touch-A-Truck is free and open to the public; the vehicles will be set up behind the Benbrook Community Center/YMCA. For more information, please contact Amanda Valdez, avaldez@benbrook-tx.gov, 817-249-6008.
