[ARCHIVED] Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center Temporarily Closing Due to COVID-19 Case

The City of Fort Worth has announced that the City’s Environmental Collection Center (ECC) is being closed after someone at the Center tested positive for the coronavirus.

The closure takes effect immediately. The center will be sterilized, and the City has set a tentative reopening date of Thursday June 18, 2020. For more information, please contact the City of Fort Worth directly, 817-392-1234.

The ECC, located at 6400 Bridge Street, typically serves both Fort Worth and Benbrook residents. There is no other nearby location where Benbrook residents can drop off hazardous waste materials for free.

The Southeast Landfill, 6288 Salt Road, Fort Worth, 76140, is still open at this time to accept bulk materials. (Please note that hazardous materials are NOT accepted here). For more information, please contact the landfill directly, 817-478-6462.

The City of Benbrook is hosting an Electronic Waste/Document-Shredding Event 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 27, at Dutch Branch Park. More information on this event will be posted shortly.
