The General Election for Benbrook City Council Members in Places 2, 4 and 6 will be held Tuesday, November 3, 2020. Election Day polling places will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Who is permitted to vote in the election?
All persons residing within the City limits of Benbrook who possess an effective and valid Voter Registration Certificate issued by the Tarrant County Election Administrator.
When and where is Early (absentee) Voting?
Early voting by personal appearance will be held at Benbrook Community Center, 228 San Angelo Avenue, Benbrook, Texas, 76126 and Tarrant County Main Early Voting Site, 2700 Premier Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76111. Tarrant County will also be using the Community Center/YMCA, 1899 Winscott Road, Benbrook, TX 76126, as an additional Early Voting Polling Place on October 29 and 30 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Other polling locations are listed on the Tarrant County Election website www.tarrantcounty.com/evote or here.

The above polling places are local to the City of Benbrook. Tarrant County has been designated as a Vote Center county. As a Vote Center, Benbrook voters may vote at any Tarrant County polling place on Election Day and are not restricted to the voter’s election precinct. Applications for Ballots by Mail for the November 3, 2020 Election: Applications for early voting by mail in Tarrant County may be delivered to the Early Voting Clerk, 2700 Premier Street, Fort Worth, Texas 76111, FAX: 817-831-6118, email: firstname.lastname@example.org to be received not later than the close of business on October 23, 2020. Early Voting ballots for Tarrant County shall be mailed to Early Voting Clerk, P.O. Box 961011, Fort Worth, Texas, 76161-0011. On July 27, 2020 by proclamation of the Governor suspended Section 86.006(a-1) of the Texas Election Code that for any election ordered or authorized to occur on November 3, 2020, to the extent necessary to allow a voter to deliver a marked mail ballot in person to the early voting clerk’s office prior to and including on election day.
Tarrant County will provide a drive-thru for in-person ballot delivery at the main Early Voting Polling Place located at 2700 Premier Street, Fort Worth, Texas. Voters may only deliver their own mail ballot to this location. The drive-thru will be open during the same days and hours of early voting.
What are the requirements to obtain and cast a ballot by mail?
The requirements to be eligible to vote by mail are:
1. Voter is 65 years of age or older on Election Day.2. Voter is disabled.
For #1 or #2 the ballot must be mailed to the voter registration residence address/mailing address or to a hospital, nursing home/long-term care facility, retirement center or address of a relative. The relationship of the relative must be indicated.
3. Voter is confined in jail – ballot must be mailed to the jail or address of a relative.4. Voter is expected to be absent from the county on Election Day and during hours of regular early voting by personal appearance -Applications must be submitted from outside the county if submitted after early voting by personal appearance has begun. BALLOTS MUST BE MAILED TO AN ADDRESS OUTSIDE THE COUNTY. RETURN BALLOTS MUST BE POST MARKED AND RECEIVED FROM OUTSIDE THE COUNTY.
