[ARCHIVED] Spring Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event


The City of Benbrook's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Event is currently scheduled for Saturday, April 17, 2021, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. (or until the trailer is full). This FREE event takes place at Dutch Branch Park, off Winscott Road, in the rear parking lot behind the Par 3 Golf (follow signs).  

Please bring proof of residency (water bill or driver’s license). Staff will be on-site to direct traffic and assist in unloading items from vehicles. Please drive slowly as you enter the drop-off location. 

Accepted Items

Acids, aerosol cans, antifreeze, all batteries, brake fluid, craft and hobby materials, degreasers, drain cleaners, fertilizer, herbicides, household chemicals, light bulbs, motor oil, oil filters, paint/stains, paint thinners, pest strips, pesticides, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, solvents, transmission fluid, varnishes.

Items Not Accepted

Ammunition, explosives, medical waste, radioactive material (smoke detectors), waste generated by businesses, tires, propane, pharmaceuticals, butane cylinders. This event does NOT include document-shredding or collection of electronic waste.

PLEASE NOTE: This is the ONLY HHW event scheduled in 2021 in Benbrook. The City of Fort Worth has the authority to cancel this event due to COVID-19. If the event is canceled, staff will make the announcement on the City of Benbrook's website and Facebook page

Throughout the year, Benbrook residents may also take Household Hazardous Waste items directly to the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center, 6400 Bridge Street. Please call the collection center for hours of operation at 817-392-5257.
