The various boards and commissions act as advisory boards to the City Council and, in limited instances, are the final decision making body.

These Commissions include: Planning & Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustments/Board of Appeals, Parks & Recreation Board, Tax Increment Finance Board, and Benbrook Economic Development Corporation.
