Apply NowLooking for a volunteer service opportunity? The Benbrook City Council is now accepting applications from citizens interested in serving on one of the following Boards or Commission:

  • Planning & Zoning Commission;  
  • Zoning Board of Adjustment/Board of Appeals; 
  • Park & Recreation Board; and  
  • Benbrook Economic Development Corporation Board.  

Appointed Boards and Commission members serve two-year terms and must meet the following qualifications (with the exception of the TIF Board): 

  • Be a registered voter of the City; 
  • Have resided in the City for one year; 
  • Continue residency in the City during the term of office; 
  • Not hold a public elective office within the State; and
  • Serve without compensation.

Additional Planning and Zoning Commission Qualifications: 

  • Planning and Zoning Commission members must also own real property within the City. 

Tax Increment Finance Reinvestment (TIF) Zone No. 1 Board of Directors qualifications: 

  • Be a resident of the City or own a business within the City
  • Serve without compensation.
Applications and additional information are available at Benbrook City Hall (911 Winscott Rd.) or online at Benbrook-tx.gov/114/Boards-Commission.
